Real Madrid reportedly see their upcoming Champions League quarter-final against Manchester City as the perfect opportunity to convince Erling Haaland to sign for them.
That’s according to a recent report from Fichajes, who claims Los Blancos are determined to bring the Norweigan forward to the Spanish capital.
Although settled and happy with life at the Etihad following a trophy-littered opening 18 months in England, Haaland, 23, continues to be linked with a glamourous move to Real Madrid.

And even though last season’s treble winners are in no danger of losing the talented 23-year-old with his contract not set to expire until 2027, it has been suggested that Real Madrid hope to lure him to the Santiago Bernabeu way before then.
Real Madrid transfer news: How Los Blancos hope to sign Erling Haaland
Set for a blockbuster Champions League quarter-final clash on 9 April, Los Blancos, who will host the Cityzens in the tie’s first leg, believe that if they win, and win convincingly, it’ll send a transfer message too strong for Haaland to ignore.
With Madrid planning to seduce the Norweigan by way of a breathtaking performance, Manchester City will need to be at their absolute best if they’re to keep their star man’s eyes off Europe’s biggest temptation.
Since joining Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund during the summer of 2022, Haaland, who already has 29 international caps under his belt, has scored 81 goals and registered 15 assists in 86 games in all competitions.
