The Athletic reports that Eljif Elmas will be joining RB Leipzig from SSC Napoli in January.

RB Leipzig have agreed a deal to sign Eljif Elmas from SSC Napoli, according to The Athletic.

The report claims that all parties have agreed on a deal that will see the 24-year-old move to the Red Bull Arena in January.

Leipzig will reportedly pay €24 million plus a further million in bonuses to sign the midfielder, who will sign a contract until 2028.

A versatile midfielder, Elmas will help fill the void left by the departure of Emil Forsberg to New York Red Bulls in January.

Elmas joined Napoli from Fenerbahce for €16 million in 2019 and has made 189 appearances for the Italian champions, scoring 19 goals and providing 11 assists.
