Borussia Dortmund will look to make it successive wins at the Westfalenstadion in the Bundesliga when they host newly-promoted Heidenheim on Friday night.
Edin Terzic received a boost heading into the game with Mats Hummels returning to training after being replaced at the break against Bochum last weekend, but he’s only expected to find a place on the bench. However, Julian Ryerson, who missed last weekend completely, should start in place of Marius Wolf after recovering from an ankle injury.
Felix Nmecha also picked up a knock against Bochum but has also returned to training. However, Kicker suggest that he could start on the bench with Karim Adeyemi coming in for the midfielder, which would see Julian Brandt move across into the No. 10 position. Donyell Malen, who has scored both of Dortmund’s Bundesliga goals this season, will retain his place with Sebastien Haller leading the attack.
Julien Duranville and Thomas Meunier are both sidelined for this game. Niclas Füllkrug, who joined from Werder Bremen for €15m on Thursday, should start on the bench on Friday.
Predicted Borussia Dortmund XI vs Heidenheim
Gregor Kobel – Julian Ryerson, Niklas Süle, Nico Schlotterbeck, Ramy Bensebaini – Emre Can, Marcel Sabitzer – Donyell Malen, Julian Brandt, Karim Adeyemi – Sebastien Haller.
