Maximilian Phillipp’s move to Union Berlin from SC Freiburg has fallen through. The 30-year-old will now stay in Freiburg after terms couldn’t be reached.

Maximilian Phillipp has made just two appearances for Freiburg this campaign, after making 17 for the club last season.
The lack of appearances under Julian Schuster prompted Union Berlin to attempt to secure the signature of the 30-year-old, with Die Eisernen looking to bolster their attack.
The transfer has since fallen through, however, with terms not being reached between all parties.
With a Berlin homecoming for Phillipp now off the cards, the forward will stay in the South with Freiburg.
