Sky Germany reports that Paul Wanner is set to join PSV Eindhoven from Bayern Munich on a permanent deal.
The Dutch champions have reached an agreement with Bayern over a €15m fee plus add-ons. Wanner will leave Munich later to undergo his medical in Eindhoven. Bayern do have a buyback clause in the deal.
Borussia Mönchengladbach had also shown an interest in Wanner and had made a loan offer for the 19-year-old, but that was rejected.
Wanner has spent the last two seasons out on loan at Elversberg and Heidenheim, and despite the injury to Jamal Musiala and the failure in the pursuit of Florian Wirtz and Nick Woltemade, there is no place for the 19-year-old in the squad.
He now follows a similar path as fellow former Bayern campus player Malik Tillman, who moved to PSV as well, before returning to Germany with Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
Bayern will likely have to invest in the market now, as their already small squad has gotten smaller with the departure of Wanner.
