Liverpool have been hit with a major blow after learning the full extent of the injury suffered by goalkeeper Alisson. The Brazilian had to come off during the Champions League defeat to Galatasaray and is now expected to be out beyond the November international break.
The news comes via The Athletic’s David Ornstein, who confirmed that the 33-year-old has now had a scan and will be sidelined with a hamstring injury. It’s noted that Liverpool have not officially confirmed Alisson’s recovery timeframe and expects a full prognosis in the next 24-48 hours.
That said, Ornstein has stated that Alisson is expected to miss six weeks. As such, he could miss out on matches against Chelsea, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Manchester City.
