Newly promoted Bundesliga side FC St. Pauli have officially confirmed the signing of Welsh fullback Fin Stevens.

Welsh fullback Fin Stevens has officially completed his rumored move to the German Bundesliga. The 21-year-old joins fellow U.K. footballer Scott Banks as the second British citizen to join the Kiezkicker this summer. Terms of the transfer and the former Brentford professional’s new contract were not divulged, but Stevens’ cost was rumored to be around €1 million.

“In signing Fin Stevens, we’re broadening our defensive backline and addressing the shortages we at the end of last season,” St. Pauli sporting director Andreas Bornemann noted in a statement, “With his dynamism, Fin can influence the game at both ends of the pitch and is very determined and, despite his young age, already very mature.”

“I’m really looking forward to taking the step into one of the strongest leagues in the world with FC St. Pauli,” the player himself added, “After very good discussions with those responsible at the club, I am convinced that this move has come at the right time and that my skills will suit the team’s style of play very well. Now I’m really looking forward to getting to know my teammates, the fans and the Millerntor Stadium.”
