Official | Rennes duo complete Turkey moves

Stade Rennais duo Bertug Yildirim (23) and Dogan Alemdar (22) have completed moves to Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir.

Yildirim spent last season on loan in La Liga with Getafe. The Turkish forward made 27 appearances in all competitions, however, he netted just three goals and registered one assist before rejoining parent club Rennes in the summer. His game-time prospects were always going to be limited, especially since the arrivals of Breel Embolo and Esteban Lepaul, who joined late in the transfer window.

He and Alemdar have now completed permanent moves away from Rennes, joining Istanbul Basaksehir, who last season finished fifth in the Turkish top flight. Yildirim played just 29 games for Rennes following his move back in the summer of 2023, scoring just one goal during that time. Alemdar, meanwhile, moves back to Turkey, having played 23 games for Les Rennais. He joined the Breton club for a fee of just under €4m back in 2021.
