PSG striker Ousmane Dembélé (28) has been named the 2024-2025 Champions League Player of the Season, UEFA has confirmed. The France international lifted the Champions League trophy for the first time in his career as PSG thumped Inter Milan 5-0 in Saturday’s final at Munich. Dembélé had an all-action performance in the final, setting up two assists, one for Désiré Doué and a second one for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Dembélé’s coronation as Champions League Player of the Season may be a step towards the ultimate individual prize in world football: the Ballon d’Or. Dembélé’s teammate, teenage sensation Désiré Doué, who scored two goals and assisted another – Achraf Hakimi’s opener – has been named the Champions League Young Player of the Season. UEFA has also released the Champions League Team of the Season. Out of the 11 players chosen, seven of them (Gianluigi Donnarumma, Marquinhos, Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué) play for PSG.
