Liverpool have announced the signing of France U23 international centre-forward Hugo Ekitiké (23) from Eintracht Frankfurt, both clubs have announced. The Premier League champions have announced an agreement has been reached with the Bundesliga side, subject to an international clearance. According to Fabrice Hawkins, the Reds will pay Die Adler a €82,5m transfer fee and a further €12,5m worth of performance-related add-ons.
Liverpool have confirmed that Ekitiké has successfully completed a medical and agreed personal terms with the Reds. It has been previously reported that the former Reims and PSG centre-forward has signed a six-year deal with the Premier League champions. The newest member of Arne Slot’s squad will link up with his new teammates during their pre-season tour in Asia.
