Getafe have announced the signing of forward Juanmi Latasa from Real Madrid on a season-long loan.
Despite the interest of Rayo Vallecano, who came to an agreement with the player, Quique Sánchez Flores’ side who have won the battle to sign the 21-year-old.
Last season he scored thirteen goals in 31 games for Raúl González’s Real Madrid Castilla and also made his debut with the first team towards the end of the season against Cádiz.
The young striker joins the La Liga outfit on loan and there has been a purchase option included in the deal.
The signing of Latasa has been in the pipeline for weeks and negotiations between Real Madrid and Getafe have been ongoing.
Los Blancos are set to secure the services of Iker Bravo, who ensures that Latasa can leave with the guarantee that Castilla will have a replacement.
Despite the fact that attack is not one of the most urgent areas to strengthen, the club will work to ensure that before Sunday the player can be registered and be in the squad for the match against Villarreal.
Getafe also want to sign a left-back before the end of the summer transfer window.
