Ismaël Doukouré (22) has signed a two-year contract extension with Strasbourg, the BlueCo-owned Ligue 1 side has announced. The France youth international midfielder is now tied with the Alsatians over a contract set to expire in 2028. Doukouré has featured 86 times for Strasbourg since joining from formative club Valenciennes three years ago.
With just one year now remaining on his deal, Doukouré had previously rejected attempts to extend his deal. The situation has recently seen him train with the reserves. Liam Rosenior stated that this was the reason the midfielder was not involved in Strasbourg’s Ligue 1 opener against FC Metz. Strasbourg have reportedly rejected bids from England and Germany for their versatile 22-year-old midfielder, who can also fill in at the back.
