FC Heidenheim have confirmed a contract extension for 19-year-old homegrown talent Adam Kölle. The Tübingen-native only just signed a professional contract this past summer. The Ostalbenschwaben only opted to given the teenager a one-year-deal. Now, after three relief appearances and a goal on his Bundesliga debut, Kölle has earned himself a three-year-contract.
Kölle is one of just three Heidenheim players (Stefan Schimmer and Jonas Föhrenbach being the others) not currently struggling with injury to have scored for Frank Schmidt’s side. Schmidt’s team remain second-to-last in the Bundesliga table through eight matchdays.
“Adam has integrated excellently since making the step up from the youth academy to the professional team and has developed both athletically and personally,” FCH club sporting CEO Holger Sanwald noted in a club statement. “His performances to date confirm the great potential we see in him.”
“I am very happy about the contract extension,” the player himself added. “It fills me with pride to be part of this team in the coming years.”
