Celta Vigo have sacked manager Eduardo Coudet. In a statement released on Wednesday, the Galacian club thanked the Argentine coach for his spell in charge.
“Coudet arrived at RC Celta in a delicate situation, with the club second last in the table. That season, the team finished eighth after a spectacular turnaround. Last season, Celta finished in eleventh position.
“The club, after this difficult decision, wants to express to Chacho Coudet and his assistants its most sincere gratitude for the dedication, honesty and professionalism they showed from the first day of their time in Vigo, in which they always offered a commendable attitude and did an exceptional job, without sparing any effort. RC Celta would also like to wish them luck and success in their next sporting adventure,” the La Liga club said in their official statement.
Coudet, who took over on 12 November 2020, leaves Vigo after just under two years at the helm.
