Belgian youth international Samuel Nibombe (17) has extended his contract at AS Monaco. His new deal expires in the summer of 2027.
Nibombe joined Monaco from Charleroi in the summer of 2023 and despite not yet making his first-team debut, he has trained with the first team and has played a prominent role in Monaco’s UEFA Youth League campaign this season, featuring on six occasions.
An imposing centre-back, Nibombe has played for Belgium at youth level from U15 to U18 level. He has four caps for the U18 side, who he now captains. Seen as one of the most promising prospects in Monaco’s La Diagonale academy, the Principality club have been keen to secure his future. That has now been achieved.
Nibombe, having secured his future, will now look to make the step from the Groupe Élite to the first-team, as the likes of Eliesse Ben Seghir, Maghnes Akliouche, and Soungoutou Magassa have recently done.
