Nico Williams wants to keep the ball rolling for Spain after their Euro 2024 title win.
On a night of high emotion in Berlin, Spain showed their steel, to secure a 2-1 win over rivals England.
Williams broke the deadlock for Spain on the right as he rifled home just after the break to put Spain in front in the German capital.
England rallied late on, but Spain edged out the victory, as Williams stayed on to help out defensively in the closing stages.
The Athletic Club winger will remain at the centre of a transfer battle with Barcelona in the coming weeks on the back of a superb 12 months in Bilbao.
The 22-year-old will be a crucial player for Spain in the coming years and he is already setting his sights on the 2026 World Cup.
“I’m so happy, our fans deserve this. We have won the European Championship, now let’s go for the World Cup in the USA”, as per quotes from Diario AS.
Spain are in UEFA Nations League action in September, against Serbia and Switzerland, with the draw for World Cup qualifying set for December
