With the Partenopei seeking a central defender to provide a boost within the back-line, Napoli are set to secure the transfer of Bologna star defender Sam Beukema.
Nicolo Schira reports that the Azzurri have sealed the Dutchman from the Rossoblu for a transfer fee of €30m, and the 26-year-old has agreed to sign a five-year deal worth €3m per-season.
The central defender has heavily impressed last season under former Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano, having made 35 appearances for the Rossoblu and playing a vital role in enabling Bologna to clinch the Coppa Italia against Milan in a 1-0 victory, ending their 51-year trophy drought.
With Beukema set to arrive at the Stadio Diego Maradona, the Dutch international is expected to play a significant role under Conte alongside Alessandro Buongiorno within the Partenopei back-line.
