Napoli are set to boycott and avoid the anti-racism campaign by the Serie A in the upcoming games this weekend.
Francesco Acerbi was acquitted by the Serie A and the prosecutors earlier today in the racism scandal, despite Napoli’s Juan Jesus stating that he was racially abused by the defender.
La Gazzetta dello Sport state that Napoli aren’t happy with the decision and they are angered at what has happened. As a result, the club will not take part in any activities that are carried out to promote Serie A’s anti-racism message, which was also promoted in the previous gameweek.
It is stated that these actions from Napoli will not put the club at risk of a sanction or fine from the Serie A. Having said that, a Coppa Italia match will not start if Napoli do not adhere to the campaign and the players do not wear the required armbands.
