According to a report from Foot Mercato, Internazionale Milan have reached an agreement with RC Lens for midfielder Andy Diouf (22), with the transfer estimated to be worth around €23-25m as per their previous report.
The France youth international looks set to leave Les Sang et Or this summer after the club confirmed the signing of his replacement, Mamadou Sangaré (23), from Rapid Wien yesterday. Multiple clubs across Europe have been keeping an eye on Diouf, with Crystal Palace among the Premier League suitors.
However, it has been the Italian clubs that have looked to strike first. Napoli had an offer of €20m rejected, while Inter have seen their offer accepted. Inter are currently negotiating with the Lens midfielder, and personal terms have not yet been reached. This movement has stirred Napoli into action, and Foot Mercato writes that they have re-entered the fray.
Diouf arrived at Lens from Basel in a €14m move in 2023 as a replacement to Seko Fofana, who left for Al-Nassr. Despite joining with a great deal of promise, Lens have struggled to get the best out of the talented midfielder.
