Yassine Benhattab (23) impressed during the opening matchdays of the Ligue 1 season. The French winger started FC Nantes’ first four games of the season and was particularly exciting during the opening day defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
However, Benhattab has since featured much less prominently. After his start against OGC Nice in mid-September, he had to wait until last weekend for his next start in the league. Having fallen out of favour under Nantes’ previous manager Luís Castro, he then started Ahmed Kantari’s first game in charge, a 4-1 loss against SCO Angers.
However, despite making his return to the starting XI, he could now leave on loan to join EA Guingamp, according to a report from Foot Mercato. The Ligue 2 side are looking to finalise his arrival, as well as that of Stade de Reims’ Yohan Demoncy. Both would join the club on a loan deal until the end of the season.
