At his presentation as Germany coach, Julian Nagelsmann spoke about the style of play he plans to implement.
At next year’s European Championship, Nagelsmann said, the team will play attractive, but not complex football.
“Of course we want to play football with a certain idea. We want to play attractive football. The great opportunity of a home European Championship is to have the nation behind us. We want to develop a sense of anticipation between now and the European Championship,” Nagelsmann told reporters.
“Confidence and atmosphere are important factors to develop a good spirit. There will always be difficult moments. We want to convey an idea that is not complex. We want to support the players. We don’t have as much time as in club football,” he added.
Nagelsmann’s first games in charge will be next month’s friendlies against the United States and Mexico.
