Speaking after Bayern’s clash with Real Madrid, Jamal Musiala said the draw was “a bit bitter.”
Reacting to Tuesday’s 2-2 Champions League semifinal first leg draw with Real Madrid, Jamal Musiala said he felt Bayern Munich could have won the game with a bit more luck.
“You have some positives, some negatives. We could have come away with a win today, we created a lot of chances,” Musiala told beIN Sports.
“We defended quite well but Real Madrid have the quality to create something from situations where you think they won’t create anything. It’s a bit bitter, but we’ll keep our heads high and go again at the Bernabéu.”
Reflecting on the overall experience and looking ahead to next week’s return leg in Madrid, Musiala added:
“These games are amazing and ones every kid dreams of when they’re growing up. It’s definitely what I always dreamt about, playing in these types of games. The fans, the atmosphere – it’s just fun to play. When everyone is playing at a high level, it is nice to be a part of.
“We have a lot of positives to take from this game and we need to keep our confidence high, play how we played here and push for a win.”
