AS Monaco can secure their place on the podium with just a point when they travel to face Montpellier HSC on Sunday. However, they will have to get the job done without some important players.
Ismail Jakobs, Aleksandr Golovin and Denis Zakaria are all out until the end of the season. As revealed by Adi Hütter on Friday, it is hoped that Jakobs and Golovin will both be fit in time for the start of pre-season. There is an increasing fear that Zakaria will not be fit to compete in the Euros with Switzerland.
Takumi Minamino will also be absent when Monaco face Montpellier. The Japanese international is suspended, whilst Guillermo Maripán also misses out with a minor hamstring injury. It is expected that he will return for the final game of the season.
Monaco likely lineup v Montpellier
Radoslaw Majecki; Krépin Diatta, Thilo Kehrer, Wilfried Singo, Vanderson; Eliesse Ben Seghir, Youssouf Fofana, Mohamed Camara, Maghnes Akliouche; Breel Embolo, Wissam Ben Yedder.
