Monaco predicted XI v Manchester City: Maghnes Akliouche returns following illness

Amid an injury crisis, AS Monaco have received a rare boost. Maghnes Akliouche missed the weekend defeat to FC Lorient, however, he is fit to return against Manchester City at the Stade Louis II on Wednesday night.

There are still plenty of absences that Adi Hutter must contend with, especially in midfield. Denis Zakaria, Lamine Camara, Aladji Bamba, Aleksandr Golovin, and Paul Pogba are all out in this sector, whilst Lukas Hradecky and Christian Mawissa also miss out for Monaco.

With the absences, there is uncertainty as to whether the Principality club will continue with a 4-4-2 or switch to a 3-4-3, a move which would see Mohamed Salisu come in at the back. Otherwise, Les Monégasques may stay with their favoured 4-4-2 formation, and perhaps pair the in-form Ansu Fati with Mika Biereth.

Monaco likely line-up v Manchester City

Philipp Kohn; Caio Henrique, Thilo Kehrer, Eric Dier, Vanderson; Takumi Minamino, Jordan Teze, Mamadou Coulibaly, Maghnes Akliouche; Mika Biereth, Ansu Fati.
