Mika Biereth (22), AS Monaco’s serial goal-scorer, came off with what looked like a potential injury in the 70th minute of the Principality club’s 3-0 win over Mediterranean rivals Olympique de Marseille.
The Denmark international looked to come off with a thigh issue late in the game with the scores at 2-0. Biereth has been prolific since joining Monaco in the January transfer window, netting 12 goals in his first 12 Ligue 1 games. Post-match, Adi Hütter didn’t show too much concern for the centre-forward.
“He felt something in the muscles and he felt tired because he had run a lot. We will see tomorrow but I don’t think [that it is anything serious]. But it is always difficult to say now (just after the match). He also said that it was better to take him off, maybe to avoid an injury,” said Hütter in a press conference attended by Get French Football News.
