Monaco consider move for Lyon’s Lucas Perri

Whilst AS Monaco have secured three signings this summer already (Paul Pogba, Eric Dier, and Ansu Fati), one of their major transfer market objectives is yet to be fulfilled.

As confirmed by CEO Thiago Scuro, the Principality club are in the market for a goalkeeper this summer with neither Philipp Köhn nor Radoslaw Majecki convincing over the course of the campaign. Many different targets have been considered, some of which remain open.

David De Gea was a target before he extended his deal at Fiorentina. Marc-André ter Stegen has approached, but that approach is yet to be successful. Vanja Milinkovic-Savic and Djordje Petrovic are both options, but both are expensive, whilst Trabzonspor’s Ugurcan Cakir remains a plan B.

Olympique Lyonnais’ Lucas Perri (27) has now emerged as an option, as per L’Équipe. The Brazilian is also a target for Leeds United and Galatasaray. Lyon, given their financial difficulties, may be forced to sell Perri this summer.

For now, Monaco have yet to make a concrete approach for the Brazilian goalkeeper, but that could yet change.
