Mohammed Salisu (26) wants to leave AS Monaco this summer, according to a report from Sacha Tavolieri. The Ghanaian defender is attracting plenty of interest.
Salisu joined Monaco from Southampton in the summer of 2023. After a difficult first season in which he contended with multiple injuries, he was more prominent at the start of last season. However, by the end of the campaign, he had been pigeon-holed as a backup option. As a result, he made just 15 appearances in Ligue 1, with his last start in the competition coming on 1st February.
Competition will be even more significant next season. The Principality club have already confirmed the signing of Eric Dier, who joins on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract at Bayern Munich.
As a result, Salisu is looking to leave Monaco this summer. There is interest from Saudi Arabia, whilst multiple European clubs have also recently expressed a desire to sign the player.
