Milan’s Theo Hernandez after scoring against Lecce: “I hope to score many more”

Milan defender Theo Hernandez has spoken about the club’s Serie A win over Lecce, as they picked up three wins on a bounce.

Two weeks ago, Milan were without a win in the Serie A. They then beat Venezia and picked up what was an upset win over Inter. Today, they beat Lecce 3-0 and with all three goals coming at the end of the blistering first-half, in which Hernandez also scored for the Rossoneri.

The Frenchman has been criticised for his performances earlier in the campaign but he has improved since then, silencing critics with his showings on the pitch.

After the game, he spoke to Sky and spoke about the win, as relayed by TMW: “It’s nice, in the first games we weren’t good, now we’ve started to play well. We’re happy because we played a great game.”

He was also asked about his goalscoring abilities and his records so far at Milan, leaving him to say: “I’m happy to be able to score so much with this club, I hope to score many more”.

There have been brief question marks about his future at the club and he was asked about it. The defender said: “I’m very happy here, people love me.”
