Serie A giants Milan are now growing in confidence about a move for Adrien Rabiot.
The midfielder played under Max Allegri at Juventus and the manager is now keen on a reunion.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report today that Milan are convinced they have made some important progress in a move for Rabiot. This is because after initial talks with Veronique Rabiot on Friday, further discussions were held on Saturday and things seem to be going in the right direction.
Marseille have signed Arthur Vermeeren from RB Leipzig and this is seen as a step from them to exclude Rabiot, who can spend a season on the sidelines if he doesn’t find a new club after his relationship with Mehdi Benatia completely broke down.
Marseille are demanding a fee of €15 million and haven’t budged from it, with Rabiot looking for a wage of over €5 million per season. Today is said to be an important but Milan are hoping, with the Frenchman having rejected an approach from Aston Villa already.
He is keen on a move to the San Siro unless there are unexpected offers on the table.
