The route leading to Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio appears to be much more difficult for Milan as they aim to find an astute right-winger in the transfer market.
According to a report from Daniele Longo, Milan are looking to build a much stronger team. But the management could wait until next summer if a potential deal for a right-winger doesn’t arrive in the January transfer window.
Despite making direct contact with his agent Jorge Mendes recently, Milan are moving further away from Asensio.
The Spaniard’s contract at Madrid expires in June 2023. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara were previously keen on bringing in the 26-year-old on a free transfer next summer.
But now, the potential transfer seems complicated as Real Madrid have offered him a new three-year renewal. And it is understood that Los Blancos are not far from reaching an agreement with the entourage of the Spain international. With Milan keeping tabs on the right-sided attacker for a long time, a successful renewal for Asensio could be a huge blow to the Rossoneri’s transfer ambitions.
