As it appeared on Marca, Martin Braithwaite discussed his move to Espanyol from Barcelona.
The Danish international joined Espanyol on the final day of the transfer window. He expressed his excitement to join Los Blanquiazules:
“I am very happy to be here. When I started talking to Espanyol, I saw that it was a good opportunity. I could continue living in Barcelona and I thought the club’s project was good. It has values. I like the way the coach wants to play and it was a very easy decision. I’m happy and I’m looking forward to starting.”
“The manager is a person with energy. He wants to win every game, every training session is intense. To achieve things, you have to work every day, you can’t sleep. I’m going to work very hard to win every game, that’s the goal,” he added.
Braithwaite also talked about his transfer in the context of Barcelona’s rivalry with Espanyol and refused to reveal what happened with him at the Blaugrana:
“I’m not a person who cares about what people say to me. I see that I have things to do at Espanyol. I don’t care what people say. It’s a more important sporting project, I like it. It’s not the time to talk about what happened in the last few months.”
