Roberto De Zerbi is yet to truly find his No.10 at Olympique de Marseille. Could that player be SCO Angers’ Himad Abdelli (25)?
Valentín Carboni arrived at Marseille on loan from Inter Milan at the start of the season. However, the Argentina international arrived injured and, just as he was re-finding his feet, he suffered an ACL injury that has ruled him out of the entirety of the campaign.
Amine Harit filled in for a time and was prominent at the start of the campaign, however, he has played a backseat role in recent weeks. He has not featured since the end of October, when he was sent off during Le Classique. Initially out with a calf injury, he has since failed to re-take his place in the team. The Moroccan may be allowed to leave in January, according to L’Équipe.
Meanwhile, OM are admirers of Angers’ Abdelli, who has impressed this season. The Angers captain and Algeria international has four goals in 15 games for Le SCO, enough to catch the eye of Marseille, who may be in the market for a No.10 next month.
