Mariano Díaz is keen to leave Real Madrid in the interest of having more playing time, as reported by AS.
Following the lack of opportunities to play in Los Blancos’ pre-season tour in the United States, the Spanish-Dominican striker has expressed his desire to leave the club.
The player would like to continue playing in Spain and he is prioritising a potential move to a club in La Liga rather than abroad.
Even though numerous clubs have shown interest in signing him throughout this transfer window – including Getafe, Rayo Vallecano, Sevilla, Celta Vigo and Espanyol – no club has submitted a formal offer as of yet.
Mariano arrived to Real Madrid from Lyon in the summer of 2018 for a fee of €23 million. He scored seven goals in 59 games for Los Blancos in all competitions. The 29-year-old has won three La Liga and two Champions League titles with the club.
