L’Équipe are reporting that Manchester City are leading the race to sign Stade Rennais Jérémy Doku (21). The Ligue 1 club would be willing to let the Belgian winger for a fee of around €60m.
No official offer has yet arrived from any club. The player is training as normal with Rennes, however, according to Foot Mercato, Doku has agreed personal terms with European champions Manchester City. The Cityzens see Doku as a replacement for Riyad Mahrez, who departed for Saudi Arabia earlier this summer.
However, an offer from the Manchester club is forthcoming, according to L’Équipe, who seemingly denied any agreement between the Rennes winger and Manchester City. Pep Guardiola’s side are leading the chase for Doku’s signature, but there are other teams in the race, notably Chelsea. Doku is expected to leave Rennes this summer, and the club reportedly would be receptive to an offer of around €60m.
