Manchester United have shown resilience in the last two games, but they still need to bolster their squad.
With Marcus Rashford set to depart this month, United must secure a suitable replacement who can seamlessly fit into Amorim’s style of play.
Chelsea star Christopher Nkunku could be an ideal candidate to replace Rashford.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that Nkunku has ‘opened the doors to new chapters as he wants to play more’.
The Blues are reportedly eyeing a move for Bayern Munich starlet Mathys Tel, with plans to offer Nkunku in a swap deal.
United must pounce on this opportunity and make a move for the Chelsea star. Nkunku could be a phenomenal partner to Bruno Fernandes.
He could feature as one of the number 10s behind the centre-forward in the 3-4-2-1 formation.
The 27-year-old is a versatile forward who can play across the frontline. He has started merely three Premier League games this season.
While Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has utilised him frequently in other competitions, he has preferred Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer in the league.
Nkunku would likely get more game time with United, considering the lack of quality attacking options at Amorim’s disposal.
A loan deal for the remainder of the season would be ideal for the Red Devils.
However, Chelsea are expected to play hardball. They will be reluctant to strengthen a direct rival.
