Manchester City talent Yan Couto has today admitted his desire to one day line out for Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Couto, of course, has emerged as one of the star performers of the La Liga campaign to date.
After linking up with Girona from the aforementioned City during the summer, the youngster has gone on to make the right-back berth his own, racking up a goal and five assists across 18 appearances.
Such endeavours have proven central to Girona’s shock challenge for supremacy in Spain’s top-flight, with Michel’s troops currently sitting joint-top of the table.
As alluded to above, though, it is the side whom Girona currently share league-leading status with, that Couto hopes to one day line out for.
Speaking during a quick-fire interview for his club’s social media platforms today, the 21-year-old was drawn on a whole host of topics.
This included his footballing idol – Cristiano Ronaldo, best attacker he has faced – Vinícius Jr, and world’s best defender – Virgil van Dijk.
Without question Couto’s most interesting response, though, came upon the stopper being asked which club in world football he would most like to one day play for.
And the Brazilian – expected to return to base at Manchester City next season – showcased little hesitation in naming Real Madrid as his dream club:
