According to Sport Bild, Mainz want to extend star striker Karim Onisiwo and left-back Aarón Martín as soon as possible.

Mainz are trying to extend both Karim Onisiwo and Aarón Martín, per Sport Bild. Onisiwo’s contract expires in 2024 and he especially impressed with physical play in Mainz’s 5-0 demolition against Köln last weekend.
Martín has really stepped up at left-back, as his deal expires at the end of the season. Both players have combined for seven goals thus far, but it’s currently unclear if the two starters even want to extend.
Mainz sit 6th in the table with 18 points through 11 games and play Bayern on Saturday.
