Lyon open talks with Real Madrid to sign Endrick on loan

Lyon have opened talks with Real Madrid to sign Brazil international centre-forward Endrick (19) on loan, according to Fabrizio Romano. The 19-year-old is short of game time in the Spanish capital. This season is yet to register a single appearance in La Liga for Xabi Alonso’s Los Merengues, given Kylian Mbappé’s red-hot form. Endrick is reportedly open to temporarily leave Real Madrid on loan to give himself a better chance at landing a spot in Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil squad for the 2026 World Cup.

Olympique de Marseille were reportedly interested in the Brazilian’s services, but it appears Marseille’s bitter Ligue 1 rivals have made their move. Talks are reportedly underway between Real Madrid and Lyon. Paulo Fonseca’s Les Gones are in the market for a centre-forward as they only signed Martin Satriano on loan this summer, when they parted ways with Alexandre Lacazette and George Mikautadze. Malick Fofana’s serious ankle injury has further depleted Fonseca’s options up front.

Lyon reportedly presented their plan to Endrick, who is open to further talks with Lyon, whose Europa League spot may be of interest for the Brazilian striker in search of game time. Romano even adds that Endrick has opened the door to a January loan move to Lyon, who would be “an ideal solution” for the striker.
