Real Madrid striker Luka Jović is set to sign for Serie A side Fiorentina, according to Sky Italia via AS.
The initial reports suggested a loan deal, however, the striker will not join on loan and Fiorentina will acquire 50% of the player’s rights and Madrid will keep the remaining 50%.
There is no fee involved in the deal, but the clubs will both own Jović until at least 2024, with an option for two more years.
In his first two seasons, the Serbia international will earn €2.5 million per year and, if he extends his deal, his salary will double to €5 million per season in the following two seasons.
Jović, who signed for Madrid in 2019 for six seasons, has had a difficult spell in the Spanish capital.
He arrived for €60 million and scored just three goals in his two and a half years as a Madrid player.
