La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid have been joined in the hunt for a long-rumoured transfer target by Premier League outfit Liverpool.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Joshua Kimmich as the player in question.
Midfielder Kimmich, for his part, is as things stand due to become a free agent in the summer.
This comes with the German international yet to find an agreement with the Bayern Munich board over the terms of a renewal to his expiring deal.
A whole host of leading clubs from across the continent, in turn, have been credited with an interest in Kimmich’s signature.
Chief amongst them have long been the aforementioned Barcelona and Real Madrid, both keen admirers of the talents boasted by the 30-year-old.
As alluded to above, though, Spanish football’s two leading clubs now look set to be joined in their pursuit by another of Europe’s heavyweights.
This comes amid confirmation that Premier League leaders Liverpool have also set their sights on Kimmich with a view to next season.
