Liverpool plan to continue their summer spending spree by adding more attacking players to the squad.
Despite the signings of Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Writz and Milos Kerkez, not to forget the latter has still not been announced but the move is edging closer, the Reds are set to make more additions to their squad this summer.
A new striker is on the agenda at Anfield with Darwin Nunez facing an uncertain future at the club and being linked with a move to Napoli.
Arne Slot is willing to sign more players for Liverpool
A winger could also arrive to provide more depth and quality in the wide attacking position.
A name that has been recently linked with a move to Anfield is Lyon winger Malick Fofana, according to Sky Sports Switzerland.
The Belgian scored 11 goals for the French club last season and provided six assists.
Still just 20-years-old, he has impressed some of the top clubs in Europe and with Lyon’s financial position not in the best position, a move could be on the cards away from Ligue 1.
Once a dominant force in Ligue 1 and seven-time champions of France, Lyon’s decline has been both dramatic and damaging. The National Directorate of Management Control (DNCG), the body responsible for overseeing financial compliance in French football, provisionally demoted the club in November.
Lyon were given time to prove their financial stability but failed to satisfy the DNCG’s demands. The governing body has now officially confirmed the club’s relegation to the second tier of French football.
With some of their players facing an uncertain future following their relegation, the Reds can use that opportunity to sign the young Belgian.
Malick Fofana is dreaming of Anfield move

Fofana’s former representatives, BF SportsPartner, have provided the update on the player’s future, as reported by The Mirror:
“The choice of heart would be Liverpool.
“He has the potential to enter the rotation, and above all, we would like to see him succeed African legends such as Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and El-Hadji Diouf. He has the profile to succeed in the Premier League.
“He possesses qualities similar to those of Manchester United’s Amad Diallo, namely speed, impact, and the ability to create opportunities. There’s no doubt he can shine.”
Given Lyon’s financial instability and the urgent need to offload players to balance the books, Liverpool could negotiate a bargain deal.
The young winger has the ability to take on defenders and score from wide positions, something that Arne Slot would love to have in his team.
