Lille OSC’s Ethan Mbappé (18) has returned to training for the first time since undergoing surgery back in May.
Mbappé has not played for Lille since May, when he picked up a hamstring injury that required surgery. The Frenchman, brother of France captain Kylian, has been on the route back to full fitness and he has now taken the next step in his recovery, returning to training, as shown in a video posted on Les Dogues’ official channels on Thursday.
Absent from LOSC’s Europa League
Out for four months, there is still a way to go for Mbappé to be back and operational for Lille. As a result, the midfielder was left out of the club’s squad for their upcoming UEFA Europa League campaign. He therefore won’t play any part in the ‘League Phase’ of the competition, however, he could now make his Ligue 1 return in the coming weeks.
