According to Foot Mercato, Lille OSC have found a total agreement with Heerenveen over the transfer of their Norwegian international winger Osame Sahraoui (23) on a €8M deal.
With the departures of Adam Ounas (27) and Yusuf Yazici (27) following their contract expiry and the likely transfer of Jonathan David (24) who only has one year remaining on his current deal, Lille are on the market to strengthen their offensive unit. After having registered the signatures of midfielders Ethan Mbappé (17) and Ngal’Ayel Mukau (19) and the free signing of experienced right-back Thomas Meunier (32), Les Dogues are set to officialise a third addition to their squad with the arrival of Sahraoui, just days before facing José Mouringo’s Fenerbahce in the UEFA Champions League’s third qualifying round.
The 23-year-old left winger has been one of the biggest revelations last season in Eredivisie, logging eight goals and four assists in 33 games. Reputed as one of the Dutch league’s best dribblers last season, the Norway international was Lille’s priority to strengthen their attack. According to Foot Mercato, Les Dogues have beaten OGC Nice in the race to sign Sahraoui and have invested around €8M without including potential add-ons to seal the deal. In the meantime, Lille are set to sign Villareal’s centre-back Aïssa Mandi (32) following Leny Yoro’s (18) transfer to Manchester United.
