After losing patience with AJ Auxerre in their pursuit of Lassine Sinayoko (25), RC Lens have turned to a new club to bolster their attacking options. According to a report from Sacha Tavolieri, Les Sang et Or are in advanced discussion with Premier League side Crystal Palace for Odsonne Edouard (27) for a permanent transfer valued at around €4m.
The striker looks to be on the way out this summer, having been made surplus to requirements. He reportedly turned down an offer to join Girona. While a touted move to OGC Nice stalled, with the club eventually looking at other targets.
Lens have been in the market for a new striker, with their current first-choice, Rayan Fofana (19) showing that he is perhaps not quite ready to lead the line during their 3-1 victory over Stade Brestois on Friday night. Lens have also been linked with a move for Olympique de Marseille’s Neal Maupay (29).
