According to a report from Foot Mercato, Lens are close to agreeing a deal to sign Carlos Terán (24) from Chicago Fire. Les Sang et Or have identified the Colombian defender as a potential option to bolster their defensive options ahead of the new season.
The Ligue 1 club are close to agreeing a fee in the region of €3m to sign Terán. He is a player who has been followed for a while by Lens, as he was targeted as the priority replacement for Kevin Danso in the past, but a move never materialised.
Medina replacement
Foot Mercato understands that Lens are bracing themselves for the departure of Facundo Medina (26) during the summer transfer window. The Argentine international is attracting interest from several clubs, including Marseille and Bayer Leverkusen. Terán could be seen as a replacement for the 26-year-old. Pierre Sage will also be without Juma Bah after his loan from Manchester City expired.
