Germany’s preeminent footballing publication reports that RB Leipzig have set a firm deadline for German national team right back Benjamin Henrichs to sign a contract extension.
RB Leipzig have – according to Germany’s Kicker Magazine – gotten serious about compelling German national team right-back Benjamin Henrichs to make a decision on signing a proffered contract extension. Kicker reports that Leipzig have set a firm deadline for Henrichs that expires at the end of the week. The German Red Bulls are hoping to gain firm commitments from their players entering the final year of their contracts.
RB head-coach Marco Rose has let it be known that he’s willing to entertain offers to coach elsewhere if the club’s front office cannot guarantee that – as was the case last summer – most of his star players won’t be plucked away by other clubs. Kicker notes that Leipzig have revived their interest in one the players they weren’t able to acquire last summer as a potential Henrichs replacement. Feyenoord’s Lutsharel Geertruida is again in Leipzig’s focus.
