L’Équipe are reporting that Leandro Paredes’ (29) move from Paris Saint-Germain to Galatasaray will not go ahead. The Argentinian international was hesitant to join the Turkish side and was delaying his final decision.
Galatasaray’s offer has been on the table for some time, and in the absence of an answer from Paredes, the Turkish side have decided to abandon the deal and instead focus on other targets. Galatasaray had already agreed a €6m deal with PSG but were awaiting the player’s approval. The PSG midfielder is wanting to explore other options in Europe.
There had been discussions with Lazio, as reported by Goal, but these did not reach a positive conclusion as the Serie A side were looking to sign Paredes on a free transfer. Under contract for a further season, Paredes will still be looking to leave this summer with little prospect of reintegration into the PSG first-team.
