La Liga president increasingly confident of Kylian Mbappé move

Real Madrid are increasingly confident of signing Kylian Mbappé (25), and their optimism is matched by La Liga president Javier Tebas.

Both Le Parisien and Foot Mercato have reported that Mbappé has chosen to join Real Madrid when his Paris Saint-Germain contract expires at the end of the season. However, the France captain is yet to inform PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi of his decision, which is a pre-requisite for a formal decision being communicated.

However, optimism reigns at the Bernabeu. La Liga president Tebas shares that optimism, as he told Fabrizio RomanoI said it was around 50% some weeks ago, now it is even more. A 55-60% chance? Yes, I think so. Every day that passes and Mbappé does not sign a new contract with PSG, the percentage increases,” said Tebas.

There are no signs of a contract renewal for Mbappé. The France captain said last summer that he would not be triggering the one-year extension in his deal with Les Parisiens, opening up the possibility of a free transfer this summer. As Tebas points out, every day that passes Mbappé gets closer to a move to Real Madrid and the chances of a dénouement in one of the most protected transfer sagas increase.
