Kylian Mbappé (26) and Ibrahima Konaté (26) are both expected to link up at Clairefontaine’s France camp on Monday despite pulling out of their respective games on Saturday, according to Le Parisien. The Real Madrid centre-forward has picked up a minor right ankle sprain against Villarreal. Mbappé’s injury is not thought to be serious, although L’Équipe understands that Real Madrid would have preferred to see Mbappé stay and recover in the Spanish capital.

As for Konaté, who pulled out of Liverpool’s away loss to Chelsea before the hour mark, the centre-back has felt discomfort in his quad. His injury is not thought to be a serious one either. Konaté and Mbappé will both undergo further medical tests on Monday. France host Azerbaijan at Paris’ Parc des Princes on Friday, October 10.
