Harry Kane was overwhelmed by the atmosphere at Rams Park after Bayern Munich’s 3-1 win over Galatasaray.
Harry Kane praised the atmosphere at Galatasaray’s home ground, Rams Park, after Bayern Munich’s 3-1 win over the Turkish champions.
Spurred on by the support of their fans, Galatasaray gave Bayern a run for their money tonight, but the German champions ultimately prevailed thanks to second-half goals from Kane and Jamal Musiala.
Speaking to Prime Video after the final whistle, Kane explained how difficult it was to come to Rams Park.
“It’s a really important win. This is a really tough place to come. A tough stadium with the fans pushing them on. It made things difficult for us, especially in the first half. In the second half we were a bit more calm, better on the ball and took our chances. To have nine points after three games is really important,” said Kane.
“It’s my first time in this stadium and I’m just about getting my hearing back now. Amazing, credit to the Galatasaray fans and obviously our away fans as well. This is what football’s all about, doing it in tough atmospheres on a big occasion. Thankfully we were able to come through it today.”
